Madam President or President Romney - A Time for Action

****UPDATE**** Conservatives are smelling blood as the momentum shifts. Governor Mitt Romney proved once again in Saturdays Maine caucus that he is the only candidate that can win more than 50% of the republican vote. Despite the endorsements of McCain's establishment buddies (the two US senators from Maine) The Governor won 52% of the states electorate. He is the only candidate to win over 50% which he has now done twice. Maine and Nevada. Conservatives throughout the US are coming together to say no to John McCain. In California the Governor has pulled ahead of McCain in the latest Zogby poll by 3% as the base rejects business as usual and opportunistic endorsements. With a strong showing in Tuesday's contest we are then on to two major campaigns in Texas and Ohio. Two states with massive delegate awards where McCain's lack of vision have lead to illegal immegration issues and massive job loss. Developing....

Dear Fellow Conservative,

In 1976 the United State was facing a series of tough issues: The economy was in stagnation, the dollar's value was in decline, inflation was on the rise, an aging population was wondering if social security would see them through their golden years, oil prices were soaring, US interest around the world were concerned about terrorism, there was a desire to put an unpopular presidential era behind us, the american public wanted to put an unpopular war which was part of a larger and continuing war behind them, we had a military which was not at optimal strength, and the issues of race and gender were ever present. These issues are a carbon copy of where we are today. Our choices were to move forward with the Republican establishments candidate, accept the New York times choice for an ambitious Democrat that lacked vision or we could have embraced the vision of a proven Governor.

This time the stakes are higher and we have history on our side. The "Nightmare on Main Street" brought to you courtesy of the Carter administration for four long years will pale in comparison to the "Nightmare on Main Street 2" which Senator Clinton has in store for us.

Governor Mitt Romney is the best candidate with the proven leadership skills and vision to lead us out of this mess and to set the conservative agenda in motion for years to come. I believe there is reason for optimism. Next Tuesday February 5th twenty-one states will host either a primary, a caucus or a state convention and Governor Romney has the best grass roots infra structure to handle such a large undertaking. This is a unique campaign year and no candidate has been able to harness much momentum after a primary or caucus win. Don't let the media man love for McCain fool you. You can help change the direction of this race by getting involved at www.mittromney.com. You can help organize his efforts in your state, donate money and/or your time. If you check www.realclearpolitics.com. you can find out if your state is a Super Tuesday state.

The reason no one has been able to ride the momentum is because americans are clearly looking for change. That is exactly what McCain is not. Both parties have had difficulty in discerning which candidate can bring change, but make no mistake both democrats can invoke that mantra, the republicans only have one Mitt Romney. John McCain will surrender the change argument if he receives the nomination. It is very likely Hillary will retain each state that John Kerry won and add Ohio. John McCain has sat on the sidelines while countless manufacturing jobs have left the USA many from Ohio and Michigan two statess where Governor Romney is likely to carry in the general election. Instead he set as his priority his plan to grant amnesty to millions of illegal immigrants that would have been immediately vested in Social Security. Let me ask a question, after all you have paid into SS do you believe it will be there for you? for your kids? Now add the illegal population into the equation taking those funds before you and your family. If you said yes I think you have spent too much time Smoking illegal drugs with Obama. If McCain wins Hillary will be the next occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.

I know many people are buoyed by the positive message that Mike Huckabee brings to the campaign but he won't win. At this point he is pulling conservative votes from Mitt Romney and which will only help McCain succeed in bringing his liberal views to our convention. Governor Romney will appoint conservative judges to the judiciary. McCain was against Alito what does that tell you. As a resident of Massachusetts I can tell you Governor Romeny's religion remained a private matter.  McCain almost ran with Kerry in 2004 and almost left the GOP in 2001. He stated on Meet The Press that "Sen. [Hillary] Clinton would make a good president" these things are a matter of record he must not win. Far too many young brave men and women have fought and died to protect our constitution throughout our 233 year history to trust it to so who has chopped down the first ammendment and who thinks Hillary would be a "good president"

I know some have tried to brand Mitt Romney as a flip flopper. While it is true he has modified some of his views they have moved from the middle to the right. Isn't that the direction we want? We need look no further than President Reagan who signed abortion on demand into California law as Governor and put through the highest tax in state history to know that good Governors let their positions mature. Romney like reagan is a pragmatic leader and will lead with the interest of the country and the preservation of the constitution as his most central mission. McCain himself is the real flip flopper saying in last weeks debate at the California Reagan Library that he "would not as president sign into law the McCain Kennedy" amnesty bill. I for one am real happy to know that he spent 2007 creating a bill that he would he himself would not now endorse. It was time well spent what a great use of our tax dollars (and he wants to talk about pork???). Just imagine he could have been working on fixing social security or saving jobs in Michigan.

there is much at stake : Continuing to fight the war on terror, making permanent the Bush tax cuts, cutting corporate and personal taxes, cutting out of control spending in DC, fixing social security and reducing the tax burden on seniors, balancing our budget, dealing firmly with illegal immigration and appointing conservative judges. We need a man of proven viosion not a political hack.

We need only look at the list of the problems we face to realize that the three remaining senators in the race have failed us. They have had  ample opportunity to address social security, overseas job outsourcing, and illegal immigration. While they have all been paid for the job of being legislators none of them have been leaders. When President Reagan fixed social security in 1986, he told us it would need to be fixed again inside of twenty years. Have McCain, Clinton, or Obama shown any leadership on this issue? On the issue of building a fence to protect our border?

When it comes to John McCain asking for your vote I hope you offer him a phrase from that great philosopher Bill Clinton and tell him you "won't inhale".

Get involved now before you are scratching your head next November and asking yourself how it came to pass that we now have President elect Hillary Clinton to look forward to. Let's take america back and preserve the trust of out Founding Fathers.
